Cambodia

False teaching about the second coming of Christ is a major concern in Cambodia. It has led many people astray, and brought about much division in churches. Please pray….

• For Our Daily Bread Ministries as we translate and distribute suitable materials in Khmer to help believers ground their faith in God’s Word.

• For the pastors in Cambodia as they seek to guard their flock from false teachings; that God will help them to do what Apostle Paul says: “Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers” (1 Timothy 4:16).

 

Malaysia

Poverty, weak biblical understanding, conflicts over faith, and distracting worldly concerns are issues facing the indigenous churches of East Malaysia. Please pray….

• For our team as they translate a Basics of Christian Living course and a Bible Atlas resource into the National Language to help believers grow and mature in their faith. Pray for the Lord’s protection over the translators.

• That we will be able to find more partners to help distribute our resources in remote areas of Sabah and Sarawak, and to nurture the habit of daily devotion among believers.

 

Taiwan

On 24 May 2017, the constitutional court in Taiwan struck down the Civil Code’s definition of marriage as being only between a man and a woman. The legislature now has two years to either amend the Civil Code or enact laws addressing same-sex couples. This ruling may pave the way for Taiwan becoming the first place in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. Please pray….

• For Our Daily Bread Ministries as we offer Discovery Series booklet Paradise Lost to readers and churches in September; that it will help believers anchor their Christian convictions on Scripture and rediscover God’s design for sexuality.

• For our team in Taiwan as they determine how we can continue to offer lessons from God’s Word that will lead people to a better understanding of this issue.
