In line with our mission to make the life changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all, this project, launched in January this year, focuses on the distribution of our resources in English and six Indian languages to people who cannot afford to pay for them.
Some of the people who benefit from this project include missionaries, students of missionary schools, inmates of orphanages and old age homes, mission hospitals and congregations of churches in economically backward regions.
Here’s what the inmates of an old age home in Chennai who received these books shared with us:

Many young people in India are exposed to pornography and promiscuity at an early age. As a result, many are misled or confused by misperceptions about love. Our Daily Bread Ministries in India is seeking to point teenagers to the true love found in Christ through the True Love Campaign. This campaign aims to help young people discover biblical, godly truths about love so that they can apply them to their lives and relationships. The True Love Campaign was launched in July 2016. The team has conducted workshops in fourteen selected schools for approximately 8,000 students.
The program includes:
- Opening prayer
- Singing time with action songs to prepare the minds of the children and catch their attention. Sometimes we invite school children to join us on stage.
- Skit – In a short skit set to music we portray various distractions in present day society that teenagers could be drawn to. While things that the world offers may be temporary only the love of Christ gives you everlasting joy.
- Message – The message is primarily conveyed through the skit and a speaker summarizes it in a short message.
- Distribution of a booklet which helps them discover the true love that Jesus offers. We also provide additional resources that are placed in the school libraries.
- Closing prayer.
